Restless by nature, on a whim I blew off city living and my career, to try my hand at a simpler-slower life in rural Tasmania. It's going to be one heck of a learning curve..join me as I find my feet, fingers crossed!

The magic of herbs..

On Monday, Mr B returned from fishing with a broken toe. Plastic slip on shoes & slimy boat ramps are never a good match.

After much coaxing, I wrap his toe in bruised comfrey leaves. And theirs just no denying the results: inflammation, bruising & pain have magically reduced in 2 mere days.

The Yoga of Herbs is a favourite resource. Interested in detailed medicinal, energetic & healing properties of herbs, then this book is for you. Based on Ayurvedic herbal medicine-yoga in this context relates to the ‘right usage’ & ‘right combination’ of herbs.

I would love to plant more medicinal herbs in my garden, a friend suggests Redbreast plants in Margate, often stock unusual herbs.
